GREENVILLE, N.C. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF baseball team hit the road this week for its first series outside Florida this season. The Knights are scheduled to play three games with East Carolina, April 13-15 at Clark-LeClair Stadium.  

The Knights enter the series with a 23-11 record (2-4 AAC) and are looking to get back to their winning ways. The Pirates check in at 19-21 (0-6 AAC) and are coming off a 10-2 victory over UNC Wilmington Tuesday.

The Black and Gold remain among the best in the NCAA in pitching, boasting the fifth-best combined ERA of 2.61. Knights' hurlers also rank in the Top 20 with a 3.03 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

UCF is hitting a combined .281 with 59 doubles, 12 triples, and 27 home runs. The Knights have the 10th most stolen bases in the country (64) and also rank 10th in stolen-bases per game at 1.88.

Senior right-handers Robby Howell and Juan Pimentel will get the first two starts for the Knights, with Howell throwing game one and Pimentel tossing game two. Freshman Lefty Joe Sheridan is scheduled to pitch in game three.

First pitch Thursday and Friday is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with Saturday's series finale set for noon.
