ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - With the 2016-17 women's basketball season in the books and summer quickly approaching, registration is now open for the 2017 Central Florida Girls Basketball Camps. UCF head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson, her staff and members of the women's basketball team will host three camps on the UCF campus from June 11-18.
The camp season opens on June 11 with the Individual Camps. Running from June 11-14, this camp is designed specifically for players entering grades 2-9. All players will be grouped according to ability and age. Camp will consist of fundamental instruction on offensive skills, defensive techniques and team play. Overnight and commuter registrations are available, with campers receiving daily meals and a camp t-shirt.
A one-day Elite Camp will take place on June 16. This camp is designed specifically for players entering grades 8-12 and is a high intensity camp for players that have the desire to play at the next level. Coach Abeand her staff will work with players on a variety of individual and team skills to prepare the prospective student-athlete for the pace at the next level.
The Team Play Days will be held June 17 and 18. Designed for JV and Varsity high school teams and AAU squads, each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games per day in their level of play. One demonstration and/or lecture will be provided by the UCF women's basketball coaches.
