ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After Friday's opening round was postponed due to weather and course conditions, the No. 22 UCF women's golf team teed it up for 36-holes Saturday. The Knights finished the day in 11th place and are looking to crack the Top 10 in Sunday's final round.
Senior Ashley Holder led the Black and Gold, shooting one-over par (73) in her first 18 before improving to even par the second time around. She is currently tied for 17th (145, +1) among individuals.
Senior Ayaka Nakayama posted a two-round total of 151 (+7) while freshman Maria Balcazar and sophomore Anna Hack each tallied scores of 153 (+9), and senior Johanna Larsson finished the day at 155 (+11).
No. 3 Alabama sits alone atop the team leaderboard at 573 (-3) with No. 9 Georgia five shots back with a 578 (+2) and No. 20 Baylor in the mix at third after posting a 579 (+3).
