Going To The Golden State

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF rowing team returns to familiar water this weekend as the Knights are set to race at the Lake Natoma Invite in Sacramento, Calif.

The two-day regatta will take place on Lake Natoma at the Sac State Aquatic Center April 8-9. UCF makes its third appearance in the Golden State in as many years, having raced at two NCAA Championships and capturing its 2016 American Athletic Conference title on Lake Natoma.

The Black and Gold has had a prosperous start to the 2017 season. In each of its first three races, the Varsity Eight posted faster marks than its previous outing. For the second time this season, the squad was named the American Athletic Conference Boat of the Week on Tuesday.

UCF looks to carry the momentum west, lining up with Stanford, Gonzaga, Clemson, Cal, Sacramento State, Brown, Notre Dame and Boston.
