GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team opened the 2017 Pepsi Florida Relays on Thursday night. A pair of Knights competed in the 5000-meter run at the Percy Beard Track.
Freshman Brittany Gill ran a personal best time of 17:53.23 to finish 30th overall. Junior Ashton McMurray crossed the line in 19:31.47 to finish 49th.
UCF continues action at the three-day meet on Friday. The field events begin at noon with the hammer throw and discus. UCF's first running event of the day is the 100-meter hurdles at 12:15 p.m.
