ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team heads to Miami to face No. 30 Florida International on Saturday. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. start at the FIU Tennis Courts.
The Knights (12-6) return to action after a 10-day break. In its last outing, UCF downed Milwaukee, 6-1, on March 21.
Senior Cortney Cesarini leads the Knights with a 15-3 singles record. She has paired with Monica Matias for a 13-2 doubles mark on the top court. This season, the Black and Gold are 8-0 against teams from Florida.
FIU (17-1) is coming off wins against USF and Temple last weekend. No. 41 Andrea Lazaro leads the Panthers with a 13-1 record at the No. 1 singles spot. She pairs with Nina Nagode at No. 1 doubles for a 10-1 dual match mark.
The Knights and Panthers have met 29 times since the inaugural match in 1981.
