ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The No. 48-ranked UCF men's tennis team starts a busy March slate with a match against Davidson on Sunday at 1 p.m., at the USTA National Campus.
Coming off a tough Texas road trip, the Knights look to extend their 6-4 record. The Black and Gold dropped three hard-hitting matches against TCU, No. 29 SMU and No. 11 Baylor. Danny Kerznerman leads UCF with a 9-1 dual match singles record. In doubles, Mariano Porter and Harrison Richmond are 4-1 at the top doubles spot. Last weekend, Porter and Richmond downed Baylor's top pair, 6-2.
Davidson is 9-3 this season in dual matches. In their last outing, the Wildcats fell 6-1 at VCU. Axel Fries leads Davidson with 10-1 singles record. Fries pairs with J.B. Gough for a 9-3 record at the top doubles spot.
The last time that UCF and the Wildcats met was in 2012, when the Knights won 5-2 at home.
