ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) -- Junior Danny Kerznerman was named the American Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. Kerznerman went 1-0 in singles at the No. 2 position and 1-0 at No. 2 doubles last week.
A 6-3, 6-1 victory against No. 125 Guy Iradukunda on Sunday gave the Knights (11-5) a second overall point to earn a 4-1 win over No. 29 Florida State.
He teamed up with junior Korey Lovett to clinch the doubles point against the Seminoles, 7-5, at the No. 2 spot.
The Brooklyn, N.Y., native is 15-1 in singles this season, and 7-2 in doubles.
