ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF's Varsity Eight has been named the American Athletic Conference Boat of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The Knights closed out their home regatta with an open-water win on March 17. The boat collected its second victory of the season, and posted its fastest time on the water in 2017. UCF won with a mark of 6:31.1.
The boat consisted of Catherine Harms, Julie Poulsen, Lauren Aiello, Ashleigh Boyd, Marija Medelinskaite, Viktorija Senkute, Mia Cleary, Edvina Nesukaityte and Zana Krakic.
The Knights return to action on Saturday at the Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.
