ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team heads to Texas for its first out-of-state road trip of the year. The Knights face SMU, their first American Athletic Conference opponent of the season, on Saturday at 2 p.m., and UT Arlington on Sunday at 1 p.m.

UCF enters the weekend with a 10-1 record. During its last outing, the Black and Gold extended its win tally to double digits with in wins against Florida Atlantic and Liberty.

Cortney Cesarini and Monica Matias both have 10-1 singles records this season. At No. 2 doubles, Emilia Granstrom and Natalia Serrano are undefeated (11-0) on the season. The Knights have not dropped a regular-season doubles point in 19 matches dating back to March 11, 2016.

SMU enters the meeting with an 8-2 record. In their last match, the Mustangs swept Texas-Permian Basin.

With a 4-1 victory last year, UCF reduced the gap in the all-time series to one, 4-5. For SMU, Dasha Sharapova holds a 9-1 dual match record with play at the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 spots.
UT Arlington enters the match with a 6-3 record. The Mavericks swept New Mexico State, 4-0, on February 26. Augustina Serio sits with a 7-0 record this season at No. 3 singles.

Last season, UT Arlington took a 2-1 lead in the all-time series record, with a 4-1 win on Feb. 27, 2016.

The Knights return to the USTA National Campus on March 9 to take on Furman at noon.
