MONTVERDE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Participants in the Central Florida Dreamplex flag football league were visited by UCF football players, coaches and support staff this past weekend.
The Knights' contingent visited the Dreamplex flag football program during its practice session on Feb. 25.
More than 30 student-athletes from the Knights' football squad volunteered their time to lead various stations and serve as buddies for more than 40 children and young adults. UCF football players led the group through stretches, then separated into stations to practice throwing, catching, flag pulling, kicking and evading defenders en route to the end zone. The morning ended with plenty of photos and autographs.
The Central Florida Dreamplex offers recreation, sports, and fitness programs for individuals of all ages with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. To find out more about the Central Florida Dreamplex, check out their webpage.
