ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - After UCF held a 2-1 lead after the second inning, No. 14 Baylor responded with eight runs of its own and eventually handed the Knights a 16-5 loss in five innings on Friday at the UCF Softball Complex.
Sophomore catcher Cassady Brewer went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. The Knights registered three doubles in the second inning on base knocks by freshman third baseman Tamesha Glover, senior right fielder Willow Kalinen and Brewer to take a 2-1 advantage.
UCF dug deep with two outs in the fifth inning and strung together four hits and pushed across three runs on RBI singles from junior second baseman Courtney Rotton and Brewer to cut the final deficit to 16-5.

UCF continues its three-game set with No. 14 Baylor on Saturday with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. The Knights will hold their annual Friends of Jaclyn Day prior to the start of the contest.
The Knights welcome No. 1 Florida State on Wednesday with the first pitch slated for 5:30 p.m. A standing room only crowd is expected, so please be sure to purchase tickets in advance to guarantee your seats to the matchup.
