ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team hosts American Athletic Conference foe No. 28 Tulsa on Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Campus at 5 p.m.
The Knights (11-5) enter the match coming off a 7-0 sweep of Rhode Island on Monday. Senior Cortney Cesarini leads the team with a 13-3 singles record. In doubles, Cesarini pairs with junior Monica Matias. They sit with a 12-2 record on the top court. At the No. 2 doubles position, sophomore Natalia Serrano and junior Emilia Granstrom boast a 12-3 record.
The Golden Hurricane (15-4) is on a five-match winning streak. In its last outing, Tulsa defeated USF 4-2 on Thursday afternoon. Martha Matoula leads the team with a 10-1 singles record. In doubles, Matoula pairs with Rongrong Leenabanchong with an 8-3 record at the No. 2 position. Marcelina Cichon and Mahitha Dadireddy hold an 8-4 doubles record.
Tulsa has a 6-0 lead in the all-time series. In their last meeting, Tulsa defeated UCF, 6-1.
