ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team heads to New Orleans for a two-match road trip. The Knights take on No. 42 Tulane on Monday at 1 p.m., and Rhode Island on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The Knights are coming off a rough weekend, dropping two 4-3 matches over the weekend. UCF fell to Furman on Thursday. The Black and Gold trailed 3-0, but won three consecutive matches to tie it up at 3-3. Junior Monica Matias was in a third set battle, but ultimately fell 6-4 in the third.

Against South Alabama, the Jaguars clinched the match with the doubles point and three singles victories. UCF and USA played out the remaining matches. The Knights won the last three singles matches.

No. 42 Tulane enters the match with a 15-4 record.   The Green Wave is on a four-match winning streak. The doubles pairing of Naz Karagoz and Elena Muller are ranked No. 76 in the latest Oracle/ITA rankings. In the all-time series, the Knights lead 5-2. In the last meeting, the Knights won 4-2.

Rhode Island is 4-7 on the season. This will be the first meeting between the Rhodys and the Knights. Galina Chernykh sits with a 3-3 record at No. 1 singles. Taylor Holden and Ariel Haber boast a 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles.
