ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—UCF senior Cortney Cesarini was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday by the league office.

The Lower Gwynedd, Penn., native went 2-0 in both singles and doubles last weekend. The senior dropped only two games against Florida A&M and Georgia Southern.

Cesarini defeated Florida A&M's Sophia Osabouhien 6-1, 6-0 on Feb. 3 on court four. Two days later, she downed Georgia Southern's Mariana Ranzahuer 6-0, 6-1 on the fourth court. In doubles, she paired with Monica Matias and swept FAMU's and Georgia Southern's top doubles teams.

The Knights have 10 days off before heading to North Florida on Feb. 15 at 5 p.m.
