ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – From the first basket to the final buzzer, UCF was in control in a 79-51 American Athletic Conference win over East Carolina on Saturday.
"I think it was a lot better offensively this game compared to the last time we played them," head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson said. "Our offense has been really good lately because we're sharing the ball. We're moving the ball."
UCF (17-9, 7-6 The American) earned 21 points off turnovers and an additional 21 second chance points. The Knights shot 77.1 percent from the free throw line, making 27 of their 35 attempts.
The Black and Gold outscored ECU (10-17, 1-13 The American) by at least three points in all four quarters and never trailed in the contest.
The game served as the Play4Kay contest, raising breast cancer awareness. Thanks to the UCF fans' generosity, $700 will be donated to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Junior Aliyah Gregory led the way with 27 points, adding six rebounds and three assists. Senior Zykira Lewis chipped in 14 points with six rebounds and a pair of steals. Sophomore Tolulope Omokore just missed a double-double, as she finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Junior Fifi Ndour went 6-for-6 from the free throw line and finished with 10 points.
Always Improving
• With 17 wins this season, the Knights have collected their most wins since the 2010-11 season. UCF finished with a 22-11 record during that campaign.

• The Knights reached the 70-point mark for the seventh time this season and the second time in conference action.
• Prior to today's victory, the only other team in The American that the Knights earned a season sweep of was Houston. UCF has now swept the season series against the Pirates.
All-Around Effort

• Eight of the nine Knights that saw action finished with two or more points, while all nine collected at least one rebound.
