Softball Improvements

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – With the 2017 softball season opener just three days away, the Knights revealed improvements to the UCF Softball Complex on Tuesday.

The look of the 10-year old facility received a significant upgrade with the installation over 500 chairback seats. The protective netting behind home plate was also replaced.

"The addition of chairback seats to our stadium is going to be great for our fans," head coach Renee Luers-Gillispie said. "It completely changes the look of our stadium and will help us create a better gameday experience."

A fresh coat of paint has also been applied to the entire complex along with updated logos. The netting in the batting cage is set to be replaced and reconfigured so that three hitting tunnels are available.

While the Knights are away at the Mary Nutter Classic and Easton Bama Bash, protective netting will also be installed in front of the dugouts. The 10-foot high barrier will run all the way to the bullpens down each line.
