ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's basketball team will play at Houston Wednesday night in an American Athletic Conference contest scheduled for 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT.  The game will be broadcast on ESPNU and FM 96.9 The Game.

It will be another critical game for positioning in the league as Houston (15-7, 6-4 AAC) is currently just half a game ahead of UCF (14-7, 5-4 AAC) in the standings.  The two teams are fifth and sixth in the conference, respectively.

The Knights aim for the season sweep of the Cougars, having won 77-70 back on Jan. 14 at CFE Arena. In the victory, sophomore B.J. Taylor led five UCF players in double figures with 20 points.  Houston's Rob Gray led all players with a game high 28 points in the defeat.

Taylor and Gray are among the league's top scorers this season. Gray's 20.5 points per game lead the American Athletic Conference, while Taylor's 16.9 points per contest would be ranked fourth in the league if he qualified for the statistical rankings.

Taylor has netted season highs the last two games, scoring 22 points against SMU and most recently pouring in 23 at Tulsa.

The Knights lost both games, however, and are currently in their first three-game losing streak of the season.  Houston, on the other hand, has won its last two, defeating both Tulane and Temple at Hofheinz Pavilion.

Wednesday's game will air on ESPNU and WatchESPN with Ted Emrich and Malcolm Huckaby calling the action. Fans can also listen to the game on FM 96.9 The Game, the iHeart radio app and the UCF Knights app with Voice of the Knights Marc Daniels on the call.
