Opens in a new window 2016 Orlando International Amateur Leaderboard

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Each year, the Orlando International Amateur championship draws high-level amateur golfers from the United States and abroad. Several UCF players took the event as an opportunity to work on their game during the holiday break.

The 2016 edition took place Dec. 28-30 at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge's Panther Lake course. Six Knights took part, including senior Ryan Stovash, sophomore's Andrew Arft, Joshua August, Jalen Ledger, and Donnie Trosper, and freshman Bobby Bai.

Trosper finished tied for 13th, the best of any member of the Black and Gold. He fired an opening round 69 and turned in a 219 (+3) for the tournament. Trosper took medalist honors at the Hartford Hawks Invitational back in September and has twice been the Knights top finisher this season.

Stovash, Arft, and Bai each tied for 31st with matching totals of 225 (+9) while Ledger and August were both cut following the second round.

UCF will resume the second half of its 2016-17 campaign Feb. 18-19 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
