ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Former Knight Kemal Ishmael has become the 13th Knight to be on the roster of a team in the Super Bowl. With Sunday's victory in the NFC Championship Game, the Atlanta Falcons and fourth-year safety Kemal Ishmael are going to the Super Bowl.

This is Ishamel's first appearance on a Super Bowl roster. All four years of his professional football career have been with the Falcons. Atlanta selected Ishmael in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Ishmael saw action in 13 games for the Falcons this season, starting four contests. He recorded 52 tackles this season before being placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, which was suffered Dec. 11 in a contest vs. the Los Angeles Rams. 

For his career in Atlanta, Ishmael has 196 total tackles, 11 passes defended and five interceptions.
