ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - As the the Knights prepare for the spring portion of the 2016-17 campaign, three UCF golfers finished in the top-10 Saturday at the South Atlantic Women's Amateur Championship, also known as the SALLY.

The SALLY dates back to 1926 and is one of the oldest surviving amateur golf classics in the country. The UCF trio, playing as individuals, started fast and never looked back, each finishing in the top-10 in all four rounds.

Senior Ashley Holder led the way with a 71-72-74-66= 283. She scortched the course with a final round tally of 66 to finish tied for third. Her effort was the lowest single-round by any of the 78 players and is the lowest 18-hole total by any Knight this season.

Sophomore Nicolette Donovan and redshirt sophomore Anna Hack finished sixth and eighth respectively. Donovan led the Knights in the opening round, shooting a -2 (70) before finishing with a 70-74-74-70= 288. Hack, a Kentucky transfer who will join the Knights this spring, had an exceptional third round firing a -3 (69). She turned in scores of 72-76-69-75= 292 for the tournament.

The Knights are back in action on Jan. 30 when they head to Lecanto, Fla. for the Florida Challenge.
