ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- Former UCF golfer Kyle Wilshire was a standout player during his time with the Knights. The Kentucky native has continued that success at the professional level, most recently qualifying for the Web.com Tour for the 2017 golf season.
UCFKnights.com caught up with Wilshire just before the holidays. He discussed his journey and the importance of his time at UCF in helping mold his game. Click the video player above.
"This university is really special to me," said Wilshire. "It taught me a lot about who I wanted to be, not just as a professional golfer but as an individual. I feel like that has helped me in my professional golf days."
The Web.com Tour is the developmental tour for the PGA TOUR. The 2017 Web.com Tour schedule began Jan. 8 and continues through September.
