The Knights converted just 31.7 percent from the field and were never able to hold the lead in the game. A 15-2 run for SMU in the second quarter gave the Mustangs the momentum they needed to ride it out for the win.
For the second game in a row, freshman Kayla Thigpen stepped up off the bench to pace the Knights in scoring. She finished with a game-high 16 points.
Freshmen Fierce In Fourth
? UCF freshmen Kayla Thigpen, Jamesha Paul and Tolulope Omokore were responsible for all of the Knights' 18 points in the fourth quarter.
? Thigpen netted 10 on her own thanks in part to two 3-pointers within a 1:30 span.
? Omokore matched her career-high 5 points.
