Adding Anna

Bio U.S. Open debut

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's golf team will add another new face to its roster this spring. Redshirt sophomore Anna Hack will join the Knights for the second half of the 2016-17 season as a transfer from Kentucky.

Hack, a Paducah, Ky. native, sat out her first season (2014-15) before competing in nine of 10 events for the Wildcats as a redshirt freshman last season. She finished in the top-25 in two of her last three events and had the team's second best scoring average at 76.3.

"Anna is a great addition for us mid-season," head coach Emily Marron said. "She has valuable tournament experience including playing at the 2016 U.S. Open. She has the potential to earn a spot in our lineup this spring and we are excited to have her on the team."

Hack was one of 25 amateurs in the 156-player U.S. Women's Open field in 2016. She earned her spot by defeating professional Ember Schuldt in the third hole of a playoff at the St. Louis sectional.

She will also be competing in the Orlando International Amateur Dec. 28-30 and the South Atlantic Women's Amateur Jan. 11-14.
