ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The next chapter of the UCF men's basketball team's 2016-17 season starts tonight.  At 8 p.m. ET the Knights (9-3) will open up American Athletic Conference play at Tulane (3-9) on the American Sports Network with coverage on ESPN3 and locally in Orlando on My65.

Last night, episode three of Legacy aired on the UCF men's basketball team's Twitter and Facebook pages, highlighting the early season success and the new coaching staff, while looking at what lies ahead with the start of conference play on the horizon.

"I love my staff. I think we have a great bunch of guys," Head Coach Johnny Dawkins says in the episode. "I think we have a well rounded group on our staff. Each one brings a certain skill set that is beneficial to our student-athletes."

"To have the opportunity to learn from him every day, that was the biggest deciding factor," Assistant Coach Jamill Jones said of Dawkins.  "To have the opportunity to work for him now, and with him, at UCF, it's been incredible."

Aubrey Dawkins, a junior transfer from Michigan and son of the head coach, gave high praise for the assistants. "They love the game of basketball so much," he said. "They love being here, love doing their jobs, and you need that. You need guys who are passionate about what they do."
