Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF football team completed one of the largest turnarounds in college football this season. While their play on the field was inspiring to many fans, it was particularly inspiring to a group of foster children who had a chance to attend games throughout the season.
More than 400 season tickets were donated by UCF fans to the Community Cares Program, which allowed foster children to attend UCF football games and help inspire them to achieve the goal of attending college.
UCF football head coach Scott Frost, who helped raise a foster son of his own, said he is proud to support this program.
"I have a special place in my heart for foster kids and kids that need someone to show them that they care," Frost said. "For our university to be involved with foster kids and allowing them to come to games and have an experience they wouldn't otherwise have, it's very important to me."
