Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Numerous first responders from around the Central Florida area take part in making sure all facets of attending UCF Football games at Bright House Networks Stadium are safe for our fans. Thanks to the generosity of those fans, many of those same first responders were able to take in the AutoNation Cure Bowl as fans. A total of 518 tickets were donated to the community's local heroes by fans of the Knights.
For several of the first responders, this was the first game they could enjoy with their families in quite some time.
"To be able to come and watch UCF play in a bowl game -- since so many of our officers work and aren't able to see the games during the season -- is fantastic," said Lieutenant Adam Egert of the Oviedo Police.
