ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—For the second time this season, senior Jalé Hervey was named the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. She has now collected the accolade three times during her career at UCF.

"Jale did a fantastic job of carrying us on her back in several critical situations," head coach Todd Dagenais said. "She is a senior who is determined to leave a positive legacy and making sure that she is leaving behind her mark before she departs the program."

The Huntsville, Ala., native helped the team to a 2-0 weekend in conference play, sweeping USF and defeating Memphis. The outside hitter led the team with 45 kills, averaging 6.43 kills per set, hitting at a .295 clip. Hervey finished with 26 digs on the weekend, averaging 3.71 digs per set.

Against USF, Hervey tallied 19 kills with a .333 hitting percentage and made 17 digs for her 12th double-double of the season. At Memphis, she registered 26 kills, averaging 6.5 kills per set, hitting at a .264 clip with nine digs.

The Knights travel to SMU and Tulsa this weekend for conference action. The Black and Gold take the Mustangs on Thursday evening, followed by the Golden Hurricane on Saturday afternoon.
