Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF Knights (4-4, 2-2) will play the first of a three game home stand this Saturday when the Tulane Green Wave (3-5, 0-4) travel to Bright House Networks Stadium for another conference match up. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. Below are some key facts and statistics about the game.
 
Match Up Facts:

  • This game was originally scheduled to be played on October 7th, but Hurricane Mathew postponed this matchup to November 5th, which was originally a bye week for both squads.
  • This will be the sixth consecutive evening game the Knights have played at home, dating back to last season.
  • UCF leads the all-time series 5-2.
  • The Green Wave have never beaten the Knights in Orlando.
  • Last time Tulane visited BHNS, UCF won 20-13 during UCF's 2014 American Athletic Conference Championship season.

Key Offensive and Defensive Statistics:

  • Senior running back Dontravious Wilson has scored nine total touchdowns on the season, which leads the team and is ranked 7th in the AAC.
  • Redshirt sophomore receiver Tre'Quan Smith is coming off his third career 100-yard receiving performance against the Houston Cougars. This is his first 100-plus yard game of the season.
  • Linebacker Shaquem Griffin was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career following his performance against Houston. The St. Petersburg, Florida native recorded 14 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and his first career interception.
  • Shaquem's twin brother Shaquill is also coming off a solid game vs. Houston. The senior defensive back recorded nine total tackles and is currently tied for 25th in the nation and 4th in the conference in passed defended (10).
