ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's basketball team returns to The Blacktop Wednesday night, hosting in-state foe Stetson at CFE Arena for a 7 p.m. tip.  The Knights will aim for their 17th straight victory over the Hatters, a streak that dates back to 2001.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN3 and WatchESPN with Drew Fellios and Mark Wise on the call.  Marc Daniels and Taylor Young will also have the action on FM 96.9 The Game and the iHeart Radio app.

The Knights (4-1) are coming off of a 67-51 home victory over Seattle on Saturday.  Now 2-0 at CFE Arena, UCF was led by senior Matt Williams and sophomore B.J. Taylor, who both scored 20 points on the night.

UCF has been impressive defensively under head coach Johnny Dawkins, holding opponents to just 55.0 points per game through five contests.  That mark ranks fifth in all of NCAA Division I and the Knights' 31.8 opponents field goal percentage is even better, ranking third in the nation.

The Hatters (3-4), meanwhile, come down to Orlando having performed well on the offensive end through the early part of 2016-17.  Stetson is averaging 79.7 points per game, which includes a 98-90 win over Florida A&M and a 116-112 loss to The Citadel.

The Knights hold a 27-15 advantage over the Hatters in the all-time series between the two teams, but have dominated the last two decades, winning each of the last 16 meetings.  Stetson's last victory came on Jan. 27, 2001 in DeLand.

Last year, UCF went up to DeLand and won 94-85 behind a 23-point, 11-rebound performance from Tacko Fall.  Chance McSpadden was also impressive in that Dec. 2 victory, scoring 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.

After Wednesday night's matchup with Stetson, the Knights will hit the road to take on UMass. UCF will challenge the Minutemen on Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. with online coverage on the Atlantic 10 Network.
