FORT MYERS, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF women's tennis ended Day Two at the Florida Gulf Coast Fall Invitational with a pair of doubles victories on Saturday.
Cortney Cesarini and Natalia Serrano defeated Tina Kreinis and Annemarie Emee from Minnesota, 6-2. Teammates Monica Matias and Claudia May followed that victory up by breezing by the Gophers' Caroline Ryba and Cammy Frei, 6-1.
The Knights struggled in singles play losing four matches to FGCU opponents. Matias had the closest match losing 7-6 (0-6), 1-6, 10-3 to Julia Ascua.
UCF concludes action at the FGCU Fall Invitational tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.
