ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The physical preparation is mostly complete in preparation for Saturday's important American Athletic Conference showdown at UConn. With Thursday marking the final full practice of the week, UCF head coach Scott Frost made his usual rounds with the media this morning.
Frost was complimentary of UConn, when he spoke with Mike Bianchi and the crew on Open Mike Thursday morning on 96.9 The Game. The Huskies may be 1-3 in the American Athletic Conference, but Frost knows they can be dangerous.
"They're like everyone else in this league," Frost said. "I think it's a lot like us, East Carolina, Temple … it's going to be a hard-fought game. They're really good on defense. They take the run game away from just about everybody. Offensively, they're dangerous enough to get you, especially if you have to leave your defense on the field a long time against them. I expect it to be another hard-fought game. Hopefully, we go up there and find a way to win."

Later in the morning, Frost spoke with the assembled media outside the Wayne Densch Sports Center. With a cool, rainy forecast on tap for East Hartford, Conn. this weekend, there were a handful of questions about preparations for that environment.
"(The concern) is foreign to me, because 50-60 degrees isn't cold to me. That's perfect football weather," Frost said. "But there is something to your blood thinning out down here. I think it's a mental thing … but when it gets below zero, that's real cold. 50-60, as long as our mentality's right, I'm not too concerned about that."

Kickoff for UCF-UConn is set for 12:01 p.m. Saturday at Rentschler Field. The game can be seen on ESPNews. The UCF radio broadcast on 96.9 The Game begins at 10 a.m. Saturday morning with the pregame show. That radio broadcast can also be heard on the iHeart Radio app and the 96.9 The Game web site.
