ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's and women's basketball programs teamed up to host the first-ever basketball clinic for UCF students on Tuesday evening.

"It was so awesome," head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson said. "We had about 100 students out here. We had them doing drills. We had them all hyped up. They were really excited. We had them run some champions. They got a lot of sweat going. They came out and supported their student-athletes and we supported them so it was a great day."

The UCF students participated in shooting drills, ball handling exercises and rebounding training. Members of both the men's and women's teams, along with staff members from each program split up to instructed the four groups in both the men's and women's practice gyms.

"It was great having the students out tonight," head coach Johnny Dawkins said. "They were terrific. Their energy, their enthusiasm is infectious. I'm looking forward to seeing all of them when we start up our season."
