HARLINGEN, Texas (UCFKnights.com) - UCF junior Korey Lovett won Monday's final qualifying match at the Harlingen Country Club Men's USTA Futures Tournament to advance to the singles main draw.

Lovett, who transferred to UCF this summer from Alabama, qualified for the main draw by defeating Dragos Ignat in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 in Monday's qualifying finals.

The junior transfer is now 2-0 at the Harlingen Country Club Men's USTA Futures Tournament and will face TCU graduate Nick Chappell. The former Horned Frog is a three-time All-Big 12 honoree in singles play and former Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year. Chappell is also the eighth highest ranked player in the tournament, ranking No. 658.

Wednesday's match time has yet to be determined.
