In 10th at the TCI


ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- The UCF men's golf team dropped a couple spots to 10th in the standings at the prestigious Tavistock Collegiate Invitational in Monday's second round. The No. 45-ranked Knights are facing a field loaded with nine other Top 50-ranked teams at Isleworth Golf & Country Club.

UCF is 13-over par after two rounds, while tournament leader Florida is -16. Only four teams are under par for the tournament.

Leading the way for the Knights is sophomore Donnie Trosper. After opening with a 4-under 68, Trosper was in second place after one round of play. He was 3-over with a 75 on Monday, but still remains 1-under for the tournament and is just four strokes out of the top three.

Junior Manuel Elvira had the best round of the day for UCF. He was 2-under Tuesday, pulling himself into a tie for 21st at +1 for the tournament. Kyler Tate (+7), Bobby Bai (+8) and Ryan Stovash (+9) rounded out the UCF lineup. They are in ties for 51st, 56th and 62nd, respectively.

Tuesday's third and final round begins at 8 a.m. The Knights are set to tee off at 8:25 a.m. on the back nine.
