Noting the Knights

  • Junior Matias Pyysalo tied a career-best scoring his sixth goal of the season at Memphis. He paces the Knights' offense with 15 points.
  • After missing nearly a month recovering from an injury, freshman Cal Jennings scored a goal and added an assist against the Tigers.
  • Freshman Matt Rosenberg notched back-to-back shutouts against SMU and Memphis. His shutout streak reached 216 minutes before conceding a goal at Memphis.
  • The Knights earned their second-straight shutout on Oct. 5 against Northwestern, 1-0, as sophomore Anton Delwer scored the lone goal.
  • Three goals have been tallied by freshman Richard Amon, who is second on the team in points with seven.
  • Sophomore Jonathan Dean has been an iron man for the Knights, playing in all 810 minutes for the squad this season.
  • Head coach Bryan Cunningham is in his 10th season at the helm of the Knights.

Last Time Out

  • After Memphis jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, Matias Pyysalo and Cal Jennings scored three minutes apart prior to halftime to level the match.
  • Pyysalo notched his sixth goal of the season, tying his career-best. The marker came on a throughball played by Jennings.
  • Off a free kick from 35-yards out struck by Jonathan Dean, the cross went through the keepers' extended hands and Jennings headed the ball into the back of the net.
  • After the Tigers scored the game-winning tally in the 65th minute, UCF pressed offensively, but was unable to find the equalizer.
