ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – It's been nearly two full weeks since the Knights have played a game. It's been nearly a month since head coach Scott Frost's team has played in front of its home fans at Bright House Networks Stadium, making it truly a Homecoming week.
While preparing for a Homecoming matchup with Temple, Coach Frost made his usual Thursday rounds of publicity. He was on Open Mike with Mike Bianchi on 96.9 The Game early in the morning and then addressed the media late in the morning after Thursday's practice.
Bianchi talked about Homecoming and asked Frost what he thought of all the acitivities.
"I think they're great in college," Frost said of Homecoming. "Our players are over here working so much, I don't think they get a chance to be distracted by the festivities. Those festivities are for the students and alumni and fans. Our players might get to enjoy one or two things this week that are different. But for the most part, it's business as usual around here."

While some of the area continues to recover from Hurricane Matthew, the storm that postponed last week's game was still a hot topic of conversation much of the week. While the Knights were somewhat disappointed not to be playing they understood the need for caution. They also appreciated the opportunity to get their bodies feeling a bit better.
"There's good and bad to that postponement," Frost said. "I think we were kind of on a roll and looking forward to playing again, so we'd like to get another game under our belt. At the same time, we had a few guys nicked up and I think the extra time off has given us a little more time to get closer to healthy."
The media was also interested in Coach Frost's plans for his first Spirit Splash at UCF.
"I'll be at Spirit Splash," Frost said. "I'm excited to watch it. It's one of the best traditions I've seen in the country as far as Homecoming's concerned. I'm excited to see all those people get crazy and run out there."
Frost assured the media, however, that he wouldn't be joining the students in the Reflecting Pond.
"I'm not getting in," he said with a chuckle.
