GREENVILLE, N.C. (UCFKnights.com) - Last time the UCF Knights (2-2) traveled to Greenville, North Carolina to face the ECU Pirates (2-2) they won the 2014 Conference Championship on a last second Hail Mary pass from Justin Holman to Breshad Perriman. That play has gone down as one of the most iconic moments in UCF football history. While a conference championship won't be on the line Saturday afternoon, it is the first conference game of the season for the Knights. Kickoff is set for noon and below are some facts and key statistics related to this weekend's game.
Matchup Facts:
- ECU leads the all-time series at 10-4, but three of UCF's last four victories have come in the last five meetings.
- This is the second consecutive road contest for the Knights.
- UCF head coach Scott Frost and ECU head coach Scottie Montgomery are both in their first season as head coaches and have 2-2 overall records.
