GREENVILLE, N.C. (UCFKnights.com) - Last time the UCF Knights (2-2) traveled to Greenville, North Carolina to face the ECU Pirates (2-2) they won the 2014 Conference Championship on a last second Hail Mary pass from Justin Holman to Breshad Perriman. That play has gone down as one of the most iconic moments in UCF football history. While a conference championship won't be on the line Saturday afternoon, it is the first conference game of the season for the Knights. Kickoff is set for noon and below are some facts and key statistics related to this weekend's game.
 
Matchup Facts:

  • ECU leads the all-time series at 10-4, but three of UCF's last four victories have come in the last five meetings.
  • This is the second consecutive road contest for the Knights.
  • UCF head coach Scott Frost and ECU head coach Scottie Montgomery are both in their first season as head coaches and have 2-2 overall records. 

Key Offensive and Defensive Statistics:

  • True freshman Adrian Killins is averaging more than 17 yards per touch and has scored two touchdowns on the season. Both of those scores have been 60-plus yard plays.
  • Last week against FIU, senior running back Dontravious Wilson became the first Knight since Storm Johnson in the 2014 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl to run for three touchdowns in a game.
  • The Knights are ranked 19th in the nation in total defense giving up only 308 total yards per game.
  • Redshirt senior linebacker Mark Rucker leads the team with 28 total tackles, which ranks him seventh in the American Athletic Conference.
