ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—UCF Volleyball took the first three points of the newly announced War on I-4 rivalry against USF. The Knights swept the Bulls 3-0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-21).

"I think our offense was okay, there was room for improvement," said head coach Todd Dagenais. "However, I think our defense just dominated the match, I didn't see that coming because (USF) are such a high octane, very potent offense."

The Knights took the first point, and never lost the lead throughout the entire set. The Bulls and Knights were tied at five points but UCF went on a 4-1 run to end the set. USF took the first point of the second set, but that didn't stop the Knights from winning the next three points. After going up 3-1, the Black and Gold didn't stop and went on multiple 4-0 runs to take the second. The third set was a back and forth match with the score being tied eight times, with three lead changes. After three consecutive points, Jalé Hervey's kill secured the victory for the Knights.
