ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The Knights head to Gainesville Sunday as the team looks to extend its winning streak against No. 4 Florida. UCF has won four-straight heading into the weekend.

The Gators represent the third top-10 opponent this season after the Knights began the 2016 campaign on the road against then No. 9 UNC and then No. 3 Duke. The Knights last win against a ranked opponent came in the 2014 NCAA Tournament against No. 9 Wisconsin when UCF advanced to the Sweet 16.

In its last four games, the Black and Gold have out-scored opponents by a margin of 14-6 including a 5-0 shutout of FIU. Three of the four efforts were come-from-behind victories decided by goals in the final 10 minutes or overtime and two matches were decided by penalty kicks.

11 different Knights have tallied 20 total goals this season, including senior striker Carol Rodrigues who leads the team with 15 points on seven goals and one assist. Rodrigues is currently tied for sixth among NCAA DI goal scorers this season and UCF is an astounding 12-1-1 (over two seasons) in games where she scores a goal.

Florida began the season ranked No. 6 and has slowly risen to No. 4, remaining undefeated at home.  The Gators fell on the road to current No. 1 Stanford in late August, and also to conference foe Arkansas this past Friday. They will have a short turnaround before hosting the well-rested Knights who have had six days to prepare.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Sunday at James G. Pressly Stadium. The matchwill stream live on WatchESPN and the ESPN app.
