Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - For the second week in-a-row the UCF Knights (1-1) will face a Big Ten foe in the Maryland Terrapins (2-0). It's Family Weekend at Bright House Networks Stadium, kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
 
Matchup Facts: 

  • This will be the first Big Ten opponent the Knights will host inside BHNS.
  • This will be the second consecutive week the Terrapins will travel to the state of Florida. Last week Maryland defeated FIU 41-14.
  • This will be the first time in program history that the Knights will face the Terrapins.
  • This game will be a matchup between two 1st year head coaches with UCF's Scott Frost and Maryland's D.J. Durkin.

 
Key Offensive and Defensive Stats:

  • Last week against Michigan, the Knights ran for 275 yards, including a school-tying 87-yard touchdown run by true freshman Adrian Killins.
  • Junior defensive linemen Jamiyus Pittman enters Saturday's contest having played in every game of his UCF career, a total of 27 contests.
  • Linebackers Mark Rucker and Chequan Burkett are tied for the team lead in total tackles with 14.
  • The Knights enter Saturday averaging 79.5 plays per game, compared to last season in which the Knights averaged 65.1 plays per game.

Prior to this weekend's contest, the UCF Tailgate Concert Series presented by 96.9 The Game and iHeartRadio will take place at IOA Plaza at 5:00 p.m. Cowboy Mouth will headline this week's performers. Admission is free to all fans in attendance. Below is a performance from one of their hit songs "Jenny Says".
 

 
Monster MotoCross
 
For the first time this football season, the Monster MotoCross show will take place in the parking lot next to IOA Plaza. The event will be at 3:30 p.m., 4:25 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. Admission is free to all fans attending the game.
