The Knights will host a Big Ten team at Bright House Networks Stadium for the first time Saturday, when the Maryland Terrapins visit for a prime time non-conference contest.

Maryland enters the game with a 2-0 record after rolling to victories over Howard University and FIU. The Terrapins opened with a 52-13 victory at home vs. the Bison of Howard. Maryland then visited Miami for a matchup with the Panthers of FIU and rolled to a 41-14 win.
This week, the Terrapins will head back for Florida for a second consecutive week. They just won't go quite as far south, stopping in Orlando to face off with the Knights.
UCF is 1-1 after shutting out South Carolina State to open the season at Bright House Networks Stadium and falling 51-14 at Michigan this past Saturday.
Saturday's game will be televised by CBS Sports Network with Dave Ryan (play-by-play), Corey Chavous (analyst) and Melanie Collins (sideline) on the call. The radio broadcast will be heard on FM 96.9 and AM 740 The Game in Orlando. Voice of the Knights Marc Daniels will be joined by Gary Parris, Jerry O'Neill and Scott Adams.
Kickoff is set for 7:02 p.m.
THE SERIES
UCF has never faced off with Maryland on the gridiron. The Knights are scheduled to return the game with the Terrapins next September.
The Knights have faced current Big Ten programs Michigan (0-1), Nebraska (0-1), Ohio State (0-1), Penn State (1-3), Purdue (0-2), Rutgers (1-1) and Wisconsin (0-1). UCF is 2-10 vs. current Big Ten foes. But the Knights are 2-2 in the last four with current B1G members, falling to Michigan, splitting with PSU and topping Rutgers.
THE TERRAPINS

The Terrapins' offense has accumulated over 475 yards each game with a balanced attack and has yet to turn the ball over. Perry Hills senior leadership at quarterback has been pivotal, posting a passing efficiency of 176.0. Complimenting Hill and the aerial attack is the running duo of freshman Lorenzo Harrison and senior transfer Trey Edmunds, who have combined for 257 yards on the ground and three touchdowns.
Defensively, Maryland has held each of its opponents under 14 points. The strength of the defense has been stopping the run, allowing just 135.5 yards per game.
LAST TIME OUT
No. 5 Michigan defeated UCF 51-14 Saturday afternoon at Michigan Stadium.
The Wolverines took advantage of great field position after partially blocking two UCF punts and a field goal attempt in the first quarter. Michigan scored on drives of 42, 57 and 45 yards to grab a 21-0 lead after one period of play.
The Wolverines added a field goal and touchdown early in the second quarter to go on top, 31-0. The first appearance of UCFast then gave the Knights a lift.
True freshman Adrian Killins took his first carry of the game – and the second of his collegiate career – 87 yards for a record-tying touchdown. Killins went around the right end and outraced the Michigan defense for the score. Michigan added a field goal before halftime to make the score 34-7 at intermission.
The Knights put together a five-play, 72-yard touchdown drive in the third quarter to make the score 44-14. Dontravious Wilson went up the middle and scored from 34 yards out. The Wolverines made it 51-14 early in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard touchdown pass to account for the final score.
