ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (UCFKnights.com) -- Junior Juuso Kahlos recorded the first Top 10 finish of his collegiate career Sunday, tying for sixth place at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Indiana.
Kahlos was 1-over par for the 36-hole tournament, shooting a 70 (-1) in Saturday's first round and a 73 (+2) in Sunday's final round. He was tied with six other players for sixth place. Kahlos' strong showing paced the Knights to a tie for fourth place as a team.
Playing in his first tournament for the Knights, Kyler Tate turned in a Top 20 finish. He tied for 18th after finishing 4-over for the tournament. Freshman Bobby Bai and junior Manuel Elvira were each +6 for the tournament and finished in a tie for 26th. Senior Ryan Stovash rouned out the Knights' lineup, tying for 49th.
UCF is in action again Sept. 19-20 at the Hartford Hawks Invitational in Hartford, Conn.
