ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – For the first time in the 2016 preseason, UCF broke out the full pads for practice No. 5 on Tuesday morning.
Offensive Coordinator Troy Walters
"I thought it was a good practice. We came out and started with the UCF drill which really sets the tempo (with) offensive and defensive guys going at it. You've got to be able to play with your pads. Really everything we've done up to this point is kind of not really football, but once you put the full pads on it really shows who's physical and who can do it on Saturdays."
Defensive Coordinator Erik Chinander
"The effort was great. Focus lacked a little bit but anytime you get full pads on, guys are more worried about making the big hit and some of those kinds of things than they are about their assignments. But overall it was pretty good."
