ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After a slow start this season, the Knights (1-3-0) are preparing for a two-game road trip this weekend. The team will head to the Midwest to meet Oklahoma State Friday before returning to Central Florida to face neighboring Stetson on Sunday.

Although the Knights dropped the first two games of 2016 on the road to ranked opponents, historically the team fares well in opponents stadiums. The black and gold are 13-7-3 on the road under head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak and 16-4-2 overall in the month of September.

Friday will be just the second time UCF and Oklahoma State have squared off, with the Knights defeating Cowgirls 2-1 last season thanks to second-half goals from senior Carol Rodrigues and then senior Ashley Spivey.

Oklahoma State is 2-1-1 coming into the meeting with UCF and returns seven starters after going 9-9-2 last season. The match is slated for 8:00 p.m. EST and fans can watch the match live via OKState.com by clicking here.

The Knights will then return to Central Florida for a second-consecutive road match, as the team makes its way to DeLand, Fla. to face the Hatters. Stetson is currently 2-1-2 and will visit Boca Raton, Fla. for or a match with FAU prior to its duel with the black and gold.

UCF is a perfect 19-0 all-time against the Hatters, with the last meeting coming in 2013. Current senior Kayla Adamek buried two goals in the first half before then sophomore Taylor Townsend and then senior Katy Ling added second-half goals, sealing the victory.

The match against Stetson is slated for Sunday Sept. 4 at 7:00 p.m. EST
