ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—The UCF Volleyball team had three close sets with No. 17 Florida State before ultimately falling 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-13).

"I look at us and say that we are only a fraction of the team we will be in a few weeks and yet be able to really push them (Florida State) like we did in the first two sets is something to build on," said head coach Todd Dagenais. "I give a lot of credit for the courage my team showed in the third set, especially the hitters who knew they were going against a double block."

The Knights really tested the Seminoles in the first two sets. In the first set, there was three lead changes and six times the score was tied. In the second set, the score was tied five times. UCF made more kills, assists and digs than Florida State. But the Seminoles logged four times more blocks than the Knights.
