ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - Think you have what it takes to compete alongside some of the nation's top student-athletes? The Knights' track & field team will be holding an open tryout for UCF students on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. at the UCF Track and Field Complex.
Any student interested in trying out is required to provide an updated fall 2016 class schedule (at least 12 credits) in addition to thoroughly completing the forms found in the "related content" section of this release. Be sure to also bring a photocopy of the front and back of your current medical insurance card, proof of a recent physical in the last six months and the results from a sickle cell blood test.
If any of the necessary requirements are not met before 4 p.m. on Sept. 14, that student will not be permitted to participate in the tryout. Those interested should bring necessary track equipment (spikes). Anyone under the age of 18 must have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian.
Last season UCF's track and field team posted a second-place finish at the American Athletic Conference Championship.
