ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF head coach Jeanette Bolden announced the 2016 cross country schedule on Wednesday, which features three in-state meets.
The Knights begin on Sept. 3, making makes the trek to Honolulu for a meet at Hawaii.
The Black and Gold return to the Sunshine State for a trio of regular season meets, starting in Gainesville (Sept. 24). UCF will also make stops in Tallahassee (Oct. 7) and Tampa (Oct. 14) as final preparations for the American Athletic Conference Championship, held in Cincinnati, Ohio on Oct. 29.
The NCAA South Region Championship is slated for Nov. 11 in Tallahassee. The NCAA Championship will take place Nov. 19 in Terre Haute, Ind.
Anne-Marie Blaney headlines the Black and Gold returners after redshirting during the 2015 season. Blaney, who broke both the 5K and 6K school records in 2014, posted a program-best fourth place regional finish during her junior season. Juniors Holly Wooley and Rosie Chamberlain return after posting top-100 finishes at the NCAA South Regional in 2015.
