Rise and Conquer: Episode 7

Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The seventh episode of UCF's "Rise and Conquer" series focuses on the start of fall camp. The players were welcomed back to campus by new practice jerseys, murals along the hallways of the football offices and much more. The episode also focuses on the return of two UCF legends as coaches for the Knights and touches on the team's philosophy heading into the start of the season.
 
Fall camp began on August 5 and ends on August 20. To this point, all of the Knights' practices have been held inside the Nicholson Fieldhouse, where a temporary air-conditioning unit has been installed to help the Knights beat the Florida heat. A permanent system will be completed sometime in the near future.

Erik Chinander, Defensive Coordinator – "These kids have been awesome! They're willing to learn. They want to buy into the process. They want a change. They want to win games. They want to be a great team. So it hasn't been a whole lot of poking and prodding. They're just hungry and eager to do what we want them to do and learn how to do things a different way."
