NEWPORT, R.I. (UCFKnights.com) -- Before the Knights begin fall camp on Friday, head coach Scott Frost and players Justin Holman and Jamiyus Pittman made the trip up north to Newport, Rhode Island for the 2016 #AmericanKickoff.

The two-day media event began on Monday with interviews with ESPN and CBS sports about the upcoming season as well as a photo and video shoot for the players as they sported UCF's new uniforms in public for the first time.
Prior to the start of the team's Monday media session, Holman and Pittman had chance to explore historic Newport. See how their expedition went in the video above as well as on the football team's social media accounts.
Tonight, the Knights will take part in the annual clambake and tomorrow will be the final day of the #AmericanKickoff which will consist of interviews with local and national media members and much more.
